Regional Hubs to expand participatory democracy
Accepted
Work with coordinating organizations in each region to host regional discussions and activities, to respond to region-specific challenges and opportunities. Create collective visions and action plans in the regions for deepening participatory democracy at the local and national level. Strengthen regional networks and integrate more organizations in each region into People Powered, while moving forward initiatives and collaboration in each region. This project could be piloted in 2-3 regions in 2022.
Expenses include contracts with anchor organizations in each region and PP staff time.

Having local/regional hubs will support growth of the organisation in a more grassroots way. Ila chapter like structure could address some of the key challenges around localization, for example: ensuring message tone and engagement are pitched in the local languages/contexts/sensitivity.
