Vote Results
Through 15 meetings and online discussion, our members brainstormed 20 policy ideas and then developed them into 3 policy proposals. A total of 104 people participated in the final vote. Sixty-six percent were from the Global South and 56% were women or gender non-conforming. They agreed on implementing one full policy and developing two additional new policies, to bring back for further consideration:
1. New membership agreement - 84 Yes, 7 No - Approved
Policy to implement
Adopt a clearer agreement document that describes the roles, benefits, and commitments of People Powered members.
2. Member voting for Board of Directors candidates - 65 Yes, 25 No - Approved
Policy to develop
Enable People Powered members to nominate and vote on candidates for the People Powered Board of Directors.
3. Inclusion and accessibility policies - 87 Yes, 3 No - Approved
Policy to develop
Define standard practices for People Powered and its members to make our work inclusive and accessible for marginalized communities.
