2022 Budget
Decide what we do together
Calendar of regional events and PP participation in them
Monitor and publish a calendar of events related to participation in the countries of member organizations. Figure out a way for PP to participate in these events - maybe PP staff representation at key events or a way for member organizations to represent the network (a set of materials?). Expenses would include staff time for maintaining the calendar and for organizing participation in the events, in coordination with members. Assumes participation in 5-10 events per year.
Cost estimate: $10,000

Having a calendar on our website that we provide a global snapshot of events. We could collate a lot of information that is already publicly available. We could then use social media to advertise these events on our channels to be able to connect with other organisations/speakers to highlight and promote their events. This provides great opportunities for PP to connect with our community and potential new members. This calendar could have a 'submit event' function.
I agree with Louise.
A few additional comments based on our discussion today:
1) It would be great to have an annual calendar of 'big' international events (regional or global), starting with year 2022, organized by month (from January to December 2022).
2) With a few exceptions, the calendar may not include local or national events
3) Organizations could submit their events to a form that asks specific questions (name of event, when, where, short description, registration, etc.
4) Eventually, each event could include a link to key outputs (manifesto, decisions made, conference proceedings, etc.)
5) This calendar would help PP members to announce their events in advance and avoid competition due to scheduling overlaps
6) This calendar could position PP as the 'transmission belt' among several sister organizations that plan international annual events (both in person and online).

As mentioned in our session - this is potentially two separate proposals 1. Calendar 2. Participating in events
This project is low cost and hight impact.
Once it is known, it will attract lots of traffic to the PP website among relevant publics.
