Decide what we do together
A feminist approach to participatory democracy
Accepted
Participation in governance processes by women in African contexts is normally marred by practices, policies and approaches that are not inclusive. This proposal would focus on conducting research that would highlight key elements for governments and citizens to factor in, when implementing participatory democracy initiatives, that ensure participation by women with various identities. As part of the research process, this work would be validated through round table discussions by women. Data/information from this research would be relevant and replicable across various geographical contexts.
