Short description: A policy for how and when we want to take a public stance on social justice or other global issues as a community.

Long Description: Some global events impact us all and there's many global issues for which participatory democracy can provide solutions and a sound critique in real time, as things unfold. Let's have a policy on how we can make public statements on important but controversial events and issues together.

I support this idea. Although there is a debate about the efficiency of making public statements without actions, a public statement itself can be an action that brings awareness and builds empathy. Empathy to those affected, no matter which side. Providing spaces for conversations on what affected needs, having discussions can help us identify how the policy should be shaped. This can be a topic for more broad discussion.

I support this proposal. In today's interconnected world, where global events and issues have a significant impact on our lives, it is essential to have a clear and thoughtful approach to addressing these matters publicly. This policy will enable us to engage in pressing social justice and global issues that affect us all. It will help us foster a sense of unity and shared purpose within our community while upholding our commitment to participatory democracy and responsible communication. I believe that having such a policy in place will enhance our ability to navigate complex and controversial topics constructively and contribute positively to the global discourse on these issues.

I think this can be very difficult, if not impossible with such a diverse group as we are and the differences in the political context. As a PP member, I have faith in the people who are employed in the organisation, in the board and in the fact that we all here share PP's values and mission. That is enough for me to have confidence in the PP board that they will sign public statements on behalf of PP.

I am closer to thinking about what issues as a Network we don't touch - those that might divide us or that don't directly concern the state and development of PD in the world.
