International longitudinal study of change in participants in participatory budgeting in education (PPE)

Given the growing number of PPE, it is relevant to know how much people actually change when they participate in them. are they included? do they learn? do they dialogue? do they create? Does participation bring problems?
It is pertinent to investigate this across different cultures and institutional designs, in a context in which democracy is in question in many places regarding its values and its capacity to change the world for the better.
