Priorités du plan stratégique pour 2024

I think this is an area (alongside Capacity-building more broadly) through which People Powered can have the most impact in the PD space - supporting others to design and launch participatory programs, whilst offering training, support, mentoring and funding for organizations to sustainably do this work as part of a shared community.

Accelerator is an interesting model to provide funding and capacity-building support to civil society organizations and governments ready to move with a participatory program. We are currently leading two accelerator programs (climate democracy and digital democracy) and will be launching a new one in 2024.

Accelerators are a very complete capacity building program. They provide important ingredients to implement a participatory process, such as knowledge and experience from lots of experts from around the world (focused on specific themes and mechanisms), personal guidance and funding. The fact that is a group activity also helps to build relationships.

That's a tested model of combining resources, training, mentorship and funding that actively support organizations and governments to achieve our expected organizational impact. With the current cohorts in process, we will have 20 participatory programs launched (in climate action and digital policy) by 2025 and more than 60 action plans fully developed that can lead to implementation
