Conversa com Diana Dajer
It would be useful to know the context of this proposal and how the Board has worked so far, to be able to comment on the need of having a member voting process for the Board.
Friendly amendment: 50% of the Board of Directors is elected by members, and the other 50% is appointed by People Powered staff.

it would also be good to know the statuary requirements that guide boards in a US context (if any).
There are no legal or statutory requirements that limit our ability or options for having members vote on the Board of Directors. It is up to us to define what members of the organization select the board.
This needs to be provided with a strong policy on what it means for members

Proposed addition from a group discussion, to add to the member commitments:
Participate in at least one work team for a People Powered project, initiative, or event each year, to contribute at a practical level to our collaborative work.
(or something like that)
Sorry, that comment was meant for the membership agreement proposal.
