Organize a series of online events for researchers to share and discuss new studies with People Powered members. Invite researchers who are and are not members so that participants can learn about their work and discuss how it connects with the ongoing work of People Powered. Participatory democracy researchers, especially those who are junior or are Ph.D. candidates, often contact us to learn more about our work and connect with people from the research board. These talks would be a way to more efficiently respond to requests from outside researchers, and to collectively benefit from their work and build broader connections. Organize 4 researcher talks a year. The meetings would be open to all members. Costs include staff time to coordinate, honoraria for speakers, and interpretation and translation when necessary.
