Resultados das votações
Através de 15 reuniões e discussões em linha, os nossos membros fizeram um brainstorming de 64 ideias e depois desenvolveram-nas em 17 propostas orçamentais. Um total de 104 pessoas participaram na votação final. Sessenta e seis por cento eram do Sul Global e 56% eram mulheres ou não-conformes em termos de género. Deram prioridade aos seis principais projectos abaixo indicados, que o People Powered irá financiar:
1. Regional hubs to expand participatory democracy - 57 Votes - Selected
Work with coordinating organizations in key global regions to host regional discussions and activities. ($60,000)
2. Member workshops for learning, collaboration, and celebration - 47 Votes - Selected
Organize a series of workshops for and by members, to support each other's work. ($10,000)
3. Small grants for research and publications - 39 Votes - Selected
Award grants to People Powered members to conduct small research studies and publish the findings. ($50,000)
4. Hire professional translators for materials - 34 Votes - Selected
Hire translators to translate People Powered materials and communications content, to improve language accessibility. ($20,000)
5. Research talks on innovative new research- 32 Votes - Selected
Organize a series of online events for researchers to share and discuss new studies with People Powered members.($10,000)
6. Exchange program between People Powered members - 32 Votes - Selected
Create an exchange program in which members visit each other to learn about and contribute to innovative local work. ($50,000)
7. Stories of participatory democracy - 27 Votes
Create a series of multimedia stories highlighting the impacts of participatory democracy. ($50,000)
8. Continue growing People Powered University! - 27 Votes
Organize four additional online courses or seminars on priority topics. ($40,000)
9. Additional resources and support on digital participation, beyond full participation platforms - 24 votes
Build on the digital participation platforms guide by creating resources and ratings for other digital participation tools. ($40,000)
10. Develop common terminology and language - 23 votes
Produce a glossary and framework defining key participatory democracy concepts in different languages ($20,000)
11. Funded study visits for mentees of the mentorship program - 22 votes
Pilot a next level of the Rising Stars mentorship program - scholarships for mentees to visit model programs. ($30,000)
12. Hire a fundraising manager to multiply our money - 22 votes
Hire a fundraising manager dedicated to raising funds for collaborative projects between People Powered members. ($70,000)
13. In-person meeting and co-creation academy - 21 votes
Organize an in-person meeting of People Powered members, as part of a two-week-long event in Colombia.($100,000)
14. Promote and speak at member organization events - 21 votes
Manage a calendar of events on PD around the world and contribute speakers for these events. ($20,000)
15. Introductory videos on participatory democracy - 19 votes
Produce a series of short, accessible, global videos that introduce people to participatory democracy processes ($50,000)
16. Global participatory democracy scorecard - 17 votes
Develop a public scorecard to track the impacts of participatory democracy globally. ($60,000)
17. Awards to celebrate member projects - 14 votes
Organize an annual prize competition for innovative projects led by People Powered members, to elevate our work. ($50,000)
