Civic tech training to grasp the potential of digital public participation tools beyond the web survey
Accepted
Although digital public participation tools have been around for a few years, the COVID-19 pandemic brought it to the forefront, as it is less easy to hold public consultations in person. Soon, they were used to replace face-to-face meetings. Digital tools have their own advantages, but online consultations pose a number of challenges that are important to understand, including deliberation.
This training would introduce the Powered People network to the world of digital participation tools in order to better assess the potential and risks associated with their use.
